Born in 1972 in Senegal, Felwine Sarr is a writer and academic. He holds a degree in economics and teaches at Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis, Senegal. He has published Dahij (Gallimard, 2009), 105 rue Carnot, and African Meditations (both published by Mémoire d'encrier, Canada).

With its natural resources and raw materials, the African continent is said to be the future El Dorado of global capitalism.
