This Beninese woman is going fast and very far. A graduate of the European Higher Institute of Management in Lille (France), Reckya Madougou first worked in the private sector.
But political issues also interest her, so much so that she became the face of the "Hands Off My Constitution" movement and received the US Department of State's "Woman of Courage" international award in 2007. The following year, she was appointed Minister of Microfinance and Youth and Women's Employment, then government spokesperson, and finally Minister of Justice. She eventually left the government in 2013 to once again become a social economy advocate.
