Holder of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Namibia and a Diploma in African Feminism and Gender Studies from the University of South Africa.
Emma THEOFILUS has been the youngest Minister in Africa since Monday, March 23, 2020, in Namibia (Southwest Africa). The 23-year-old Namibian woman was appointed Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technologies of Namibia by the President of the Republic of the country, HE Mr. Hage GEINGOB.
Furthermore, in addition to becoming the youngest Minister in Africa, Emma Theofilus also becomes Namibia's youngest Member of Parliament. Namibia's new Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology has also been appointed as a Member of the National Assembly, one of the eight members that the Namibian President is authorized to appoint.
