Otis Boykin (1920 – 1982)

American doctor and inventor of the pacemaker regulator

Otis Boykin graduated from Fisk College in 1941 and took a job at Majestic Radio and Television Corporation. He then worked at P.J. Nilsen Research Laboratories. Boykin, who was primarily interested in work on resistors. The height of irony  he is died of heart failure in Chicago in 1982. At the time of his death, he had 26 patents to his name.
